CLIENT UPDATE

OK, Many of you remember this image. It is one of our more famous images, because, well, he is just so hilarious!

Well, he came in just before Christmas with his new brother. I was so excited to see him, and to see if he still looked the same. So many clients come in, and see him hanging on the wall and ask "What does he look like now?" I have to say, I have fallen in love with him! His little expressions are a photographers dream!!! And his new brother is quickly following in his footsteps!

So we had this fabulous artist in L.A. paint this backdrop for us. We have had a lot of fun playing with it! If you are booking a session with us and would like to use it, denim looks great with it, as well as tutus.

While it looks very different from the style we are known for, we think it is fun!

We've Been Busy!

It has felt like Christmas around the studio, we have been so busy! The week of April 20th Kevin, Sam and I will be taking a much needed mini vacation. We are headed to the wonderful city of San Antonio to visit Sea World. Sam loves dolphins, but is not so sure about those pesky sharks. He likes to read about them, but doesn't really want to see one in person. He told me "I better not see one shark at Sea World, or I will be angry and we will go home."

It should be an interesting week.

Watching them Grow

This little guy just had his first birthday, and I was there at the hospital the day after he was born. It has been such a joy to watch him grow, and he now has a baby brother on the way! Here he is from each session...

Baby Boom

Well, the first news of the day is our new site is now up!! Take a look around and you will see alot of new work we have been doing. We hope you like it!

And then, maybe because it is spring, who knows, but we have had a baby boom around here! I have done four hospital sessions in the last two weeks (three just on Easter weekend) and I have another two or three I am expecting any day now. These sessions are so special to me, and I want to thank the wonderful families for letting me be a part of this amazing experience. It is so much fun to meet the extended family as they are getting to know their newest member.

Bubble Toes

Ok you know that Jack Johnson song about the bubbly toes? Catchy little tune. Well, this little guy was so cute, and everything about him is round. He has a little round face with little round eyes and even his toes are like little bubbles. He was just adorable!!!

Oh, and a scheduling update

We are now completely booked for the month of March, but now is the time to call for April and May. It would be a great time to do a session outside!!!!

Very soon you will see our website is getting a face lift! We are very excited about the unveiling. We have been hard at work finishing it up, as well as updating the image gallery at our studio. We have alot of new things in store this year including a new Baby Plan! Yes, we finally have the details worked out, so give us a shout if you would like info. I am also sending out a few more interviews to some recent moms, so we should have more to post on that soon! For now, here are a few recent favorites......

I promise I haven't forgotten

about my blog! Christmas (which means Oct-Dec around here) got a little crazy this year. I have finally come up for air! We have had a very busy January and are looking forward to a great Spring.

SCHEDULING NOTE: WE just had someone reschedule and appointment the week of Feb 19th, so we have an opening. After that, we have ONLY TWO more openings for the month of March, otherwise we are booked almost 7 weeks out! Thank you to everyone who is spreading the word!

Here is another little cutie I have photographed since she was a newborn. I have really enjoyed getting to know their family!

THE LAST TIME MY CHILD MADE ME LAUGH WAS: when I rolled my eyes at her while she was playing in the bathtub and she immediately imitated me by rolling her eyes at me. Hilarious!

I REALIZED I HAVE TURNED INTO MY MOTHER WHEN...my daughter misbehaves and I start counting out loud to her before I take action.

THE GADGET THAT SAVES ME THE MOST TIME IS...my blackberry.

MY FAVORITE PLACE TO SHOP FOR KIDS CLOTHING IS...BeBe Grande. They have the best clothes! My daughter's entire closet is from there!

WHAT SURPRISES ME THE MOST ABOUT PARENTING IS...how much of it comes naturally.

MY FAVORITE RAINY DAY ACTIVITY TO DO WITH CHILDREN IS... Little Gym or the playround at Chic-fil-A

A FAVORITE TRADITION I SHARE WITH MY CHILDREN IS...on the night before Easter we gather the family together and dye Easter eggs and write funny nicknames we have for each other on the eggs. Then in the morning, my husband and I hide the eggs and Charlotte gets to hunt for them. Her favorite thing is to drop the eggs in her basket and when they crack scream, "uh oh!"

WHAT I WANT MY CHILDREN TO LEARN ABOUT LIFE...to find true happiness in family and friends and not in possessions.

THE INVENTION I WOULD CREATE TO MAKE MY LIFE EASIER... a diaper changer.

IF I HAD AN ENTIRE DAY ALONE WITH NO RESPONSIBILITIES, I WOULD...float in the swimming pool drinking margaritas and reading gossip magazines.

THE MOST FUN THING ABOUT BEING A MOM IS...being able to be silly without having to worry what other people think. Getting a laugh out of my daughter when I act silly is the best feeling in the world!

THE LAST BOOK I READ FOR MYSELF...I can't remember it has been so long!

I HOPE MY KIDS INHERIT...my husband's ability to mimic people. He is incredibly talented at imitating others. It always gets a laugh!

THREE THINGS MY KIDS HAVE TAUGHT ME...Patience, patience, patience!!!

WHAT I WISH I HAD KNOWN ABOUT BEING A PARENT BEFORE I BECAME ONE...how much happiness a child can bring to your life!

THE BEST THIING MY SPOUSE DOES FOR ME TO MAKE MY LIFE EASIER: is give incredible foot rubs! Not to mention that he is a wonderful provider so that I can stay home with our daughter!
